Finder

Definition:
A Finder is a company or an individual who knows what is on offer from TWB and is able to assess if there is a genuine requirement with a customer (qualified lead) and pass this information on to TWB sales.

For Example, a sales person(s) who has reach into the marketplace.

Expectation: The Finder will be able to generate and qualify the lead, and pass on complete contact details to the TWB sales. For example, it will not be sufficient to say “There may be a documentation requirement in XYZ company…”. Instead, the Finder must provide complete Lead details like
 - There is a definite need for documentation for the company
 - The type of documentation required
 - The department or business unit requiring the need
 - The complete contact details of the person responsible for the documentation need.

Responsibilities: Pass on complete Lead details such as a definite need for documentation, which company, which department, what type of documentation and complete contact details of the person responsible for the documentation need.

Reward: 5% of the sale price. This shall depend on factors such as volume of repetitive business, hit ratio of leads found (past record), 1st sale price, sales effort required to close the sale and length of the sales cycle. This amount shall be paid to the finder at the time of the first TWB invoicing on the customer.

(For Illustrative purposes only)
Profile:
FLG is working as a senior software developer in an IT company for the past 3 years. He specializes in programming and testing and is currently working in a team which is just about to release a product. He has been in constant interaction with other business teams in his company during different projects.
FLG is also a “Finder” for TWB.

Situation:
Through a colleague in another business team he comes to know of a technical writing requirement for one of their products called Zeee. As a finder of TWB he contacts the TWB’s Sales Team.

Solution:
Through FLG, TWB’s Sales Team gets the relevant contact details of the new opportunity. TWB’s sales representative contacts the project manager of Zeee and the rest of the sales process continues. Finally a Rs.1 Lakh technical writing contract is awarded to TWB.

Benefits:

FLG gets 5% of the invoice (Rs.5000) by just conveying the proper info and contact source he had, to TWB.
All data/details of FLG is still protected.
The IT Company gets its documentation requirement fulfilled in the best possible way with the highest quality standards.
TWB gets the contract for the requirement of which TWB had no prior information on.
