Inauguration of The Writers Block (TWB) technical writing facility
Bangalore, November 4, 2005: The Writers Block (TWB) today announced the opening of its first in-house training facility in Bangalore. TWB is a division of Amatra Consulting and specializes in Training and Consulting in the areas of Technical Writing and Information Design.
With the inauguration of the facility TWB is in a position to execute training programs unmatched in quality in India. This fully equipped facility provides a high quality environment for the TWB Associate and TWB Professional level certification courses to be delivered, and reflects TWB’s principle of the meeting and exceeding the highest quality in terms of course design, content, training and certification standards.
The TWB facility has the capacity for upto 20 people to get trained. All trainees have their own fully equipped laptops, connected on a WiFi network. The fully equipped facility will allow TWB’s faculty to train students through the basics of Technical Writing through to advance concepts of estimation, management and tools such as RoboHelp, WinHelp, ForeHelp, HelpScribble (Delphi and C++ developers), WebWorks, HelpStudio & HelpMaker.
The facility was inaugurated by Prof. Ramaswamy, founder Director of IIM-Bangalore. At the occasion he said “TWB is pioneering the way of high quality training that will go along way in opening a significant career opportunity in emerging industries for even those who have not had a technical or managerial education” He further said, “I am especially happy to see TWB contribute to this profession and create an opportunity for those deserving candidates by giving upto 2 seats in each batch to those who otherwise can’t pay for this training”.
At the inauguration of the facility Helen Shukla, co-founder of TWB and Director of Outsourcing & Training at The Writers Block said “Our content is the most comprehensive and best designed in the business and we will deliver tremendous value to the Technical writing community in India by giving them access to both our training methods, and consulting services.” She further said “This will help companies by giving them access to a large high quality resource pool available with, and being, being created by TWB”.
Helen Shukla, responsible for the courses, management and industry interfaces of TWB, brings 18 years of experience with MNC organizations, where she was responsible for managing large teams and delivering complex projects. She was last the Head of Knowledge Management of SAP Labs, India.
